MATT HULSE - Double bill film programme.
Part retrospective, part master - class and partsafari through an eclectic, subversive and creative mind, Matt Hulse will treat you to a survey and exploration of his Super8 gems and award- winning short films.
Matt's debut feature film 'Follow The Master' (70 mins) will follow.
Plus a brief Q and A.

THE FORM GROUP - Music to film
Sparse, drifting music that floats between Fripp and Eno guitars, the pastoral drone of Boards of Canada and some of Broadcast's sweeter instrumentals. Soundtracking a segment of Wim Wenders' 1973 film 'Alice in the Cities'

REFF Special Bursary winner, Jon creates an interactive, collaborative experience where viewers are encouraged to contribute to an evolving and unique piece.

LONDON FILM MAKERS CO-OP - Retrospective
In conjunction with Guy Sherwin and Lynn Loo's performance which follows, a carefully curated programme (by REFF curator Philip Newcombe) of some of the highly influential short films made by the artists of the London Film Makers co-op, from the early 1970's.

GUY SHERWIN AND LYNN LOO - Live performance
END ROLLS (UK Premiere), CYCLES #3,
CAMDEN ROAD STATION, MAN WITH MIRROR
Guy's films and performances explore basic qualities of cinema such as movement, light and sound. Often using live elements during a screening, sometimes appearing within the image or working with the projector as a performative instrument. Guy Sherwin and Lynn Loo, who have been working together since 2005, combine several 16mm projectors and experimentation with fi lm loops and the projectors' optical sound system. Short Q and A follows.

REFF'S resident curator, Philip Newcombe compiles two programmes which include the REFF submissions and bursaries and a WORLD PREMIERE of a film created by Mark Aerial Waller, commissioned by REFF, and filmed in Whitley, Reading, using actors and non actors from the town.

THE PAWN BROKER - Music to film
The Pawnbroker use a piano and two voices to create their sparse landscape. Following last years haunting soundtrack to 'The Pawnbroker', they will present a suite of brand new music to accompany Tarkovsky's 'Solaris', marrying the fi lm's endless space and turmoil to their characteristically taught sound
